Dope House Soldiers:
What’s going on? These are some general updates for you about where we are with things for the snippet campaign. As you all know, the date is fast approaching for the start of the campaign. The launch date for our operations is September 20, and we need everyone to be on tap for their respective cities.
Alex has done a great job of organizing our teams across the country, and we know many of you are prepared to do whatever it takes to make this campaign a success. Here’s something to think about too, and that is the fact that this won’t be a one-time effort. We are organizing things to keep our team in place for a long, long time. So this is the first of many big efforts we, as a unified group of fans, is going to take part in.
I am attaching in this email some code that you can use to promote the snippet and snippet campaign online when as we get closer to launch time. If you copy and paste the following code:
<a href=http://www.thedopehousearmy.com><img src=http://www.thedopehousearmy.com/snippro.jpg></a>
Use this code to paste the following banner in your emails, messages to friends on MySpace or other social networks, and forums talking about the new album. Anywhere on the internet you frequent, paste the heck out of this banner. I’ll be creating other banners for the promo, and you are welcome to submit your own as well.I also have some good news concerning shirts. For those of you who are part of a team leader’s crew, we have a preliminary order of about 350 shirts for the street team in various sizes. The new design will be able to be viewed in the next couple of days. It’s a simple but effective design which I think everyone will be pleased with.
For those of you who are team leaders, we will be sending you information on setting up events in your areas, and even if you are solo in an area, there are still plenty of things to be done. Remember, the most important aspect of this whole campaign is that we are working together as a family to make sure this happens.
We are counting on each and every one of you, and are blessed to have you as part of the team.
So let’s keep pushing, friends.
We start soon.

Ello,
Fellow loftonians, it’s always nice to be writing you. All is well over here in what many call the cement jungle. Although the unit I’m on isnt’ really a jungle at all. This is the safest prison in Texas. A lot of people call it an old folks home, because about seventy percent of the inmates are in their seventies, or in wheel chairs, or just physically challenged.
I hope you’re doing well. We’ve moved our release back to November the Eighteenth. I kind of fizzled out on the artwork. I was waiting for someone to light a fire under my butt, and it didn’t happen. I forgot, I’ve got to be my own motivator. Time just flies in prison and you can find yourself listening to the radio for two weeks straight, getting out of bed to eat and the other word and not much else. I just want to apologize to you for that. But now I’m getting all this artwork stuff done. I’m thinking we’re going to give away a free shirt on our CD insert. Something that people can cut out and send to us (with $4.25 for shipping and handling) and we send them a gree “Gangsterous” shirt. Other than that, I’m going to have an entire one side of the artwork (12 panels) of something I’m calling “My Photo Album.” It’s going to have pictures of… Well, pictures that I have over there. I’ve sent a bunch of pictures home, some that I wish I had now, but I’ve got enough over here to make a decent impact.
Well, we’ve got a little more time to tweek “TLCV” but I’m sure we’re done and won’t need to tweek. Of course we’ve got August and September to discuss that. What I mostly want us to do is get ready for the next release. I’m hoping we can back door with “Telephone Road.” I need “Through a Window,” “Dayroom Daydreams,” and “The Difference” to be in tip top shape. Honestly, none of those songs made “TLCV” because they just weren’t ready. We’ve got amazing lyrics and music, but we’re lacking quality when it comes to those. I also want us to focus on “The Son of Norma.” I want that album to be our best yet, although it will be hard to top “TLCV.” Still I think with chemistry we’re developing amongst each other, and the technology that’s making things sound better and better, we can do it. I want “Telephone Road” to kind of lighten up the mood from two serious albums as “WDS” and “TLCV,” then we get back to business on “The Son of Norma.” I’m hoping to drop “Telephone Road” in April, and “the Song of Norma” in October. Of course I’m talking about April and October of next year. “The Send Button” will be our big “2010” album. I want a star cast and Hollywood sound effects on that album.
Once we get into that project, you’re going to see how powerful that project is. I want Fat Joe as Don Gabriel. I want Bash, Coast, Gotti, Powda, Pimpstress, all doing the parts written for them. We’d have to get a good unknown rapper to play the guy I shot in the butt, (the one who’s breaking bones in my face with brass knuckles.) I need an excellent little girl rapper, or even broadway performer, to play my daughter’s part. And the same for my son’s part. Broadway people are really good at staying on beat, and it’s nothing for them to rap a part. I’m thinking that the whole album will also be a film, like a gangster musical. They’ll be all kinds of hooks for Carolyn, Frankie J, Ronnie Spencer and other singers.
We could even put some big name rappers on some of the hooks. This project will literally take years to finish, and even then I’ll wish I could do more to it. But I believe by 2010, we’ll be ready to make another type of history with this project. We could also drop a fun album in 2010 (if God is willing on all this) with all the off the wall stuff I say on the newly discovered material.
Then in 2011, we’ll hit’em hard with another serious album with all the dope we’ll still have in our newly discovered material. I believe I’ll be calling the 2011 album “Night School.” It will be serious. Of course “The Last Chair Violinist,” “The Son of Norma,” and “Night School” will be accompanied by books with the same title. Believe it or not, even after “Night School,” we’ll still have two or three more top notch albums. Of course by this time, I’m expecting my college writing courses to have paid off and my book writing skills to be at the highest level of competition. I expect to be making films from each book and hope to have you guys working on soundtracks for motion pictures. If he Lord is willing, our future is very bright. I know the Lord is willing that our future be bright, but His plans could be different, so we’ll so how it all goes. God is wonderful and there is nothing bad in Him. We’ll just see what happens with all our trust in God.
I need Carolyn to send me all the lyrics to “TLCV.” I believe we’re putting those in the CD insert. I also need them so that I can show you how I want the album edited for the clean version. Make sure you send me the lyrics double spaced so that I can have room for corrections. If you guys have any ideas on what we can put in our CD artwork/inserts, please share those ideas. I send all my love to you and your loved ones. Stay strong.

Also, a big thanks to all of you who are wanting to help out with the MySpace page. I'm going to be contacting some of you soon about helping out. Appreciate everything the Soldiers are doing so far to hold it down for us.
Oh yeah, as promised, I will be uploading "Mexican Heaven" to the player for everyone to listen to! Expect it later today!
